Dot NAME Domain Name Registrations

Launched in 2001, the Dot NAME generic Top-Level Domain is the only one planned for personal sites only. These domains can be personal or fictional names, aliases and/or other titles people are famous by. At first, just third-level registrations were permitted, so if you wished to order john.doe.name, you had to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration procedures were loosened and second-level registrations were also permitted. Existing 3rd-level names remained working.

Through our firm, you can obtain your .NAME domain for a time interval between one and ten years. You will have the chance to modify the WHOIS contact information, to park your domain, to edit Custom DNS records, etc. You can also move over an existing domain to our firm if you acquire its EPP transfer authorization key from the present domain provider and we will renew it as soon as the transfer has been done. There are no specific stipulations on who can register a dot NAME domain name, but in order to preserve the concept behind its creation alive, the dot NAME Registry organization may verify who the Registrant is and if there is no link between the owner and the actual domain name, the registration could be challenged.
